Human Resources & Office Manager

Zuri, a fast growing retailer and etailer, is looking for an experienced and talented individual to fill the HR & Office Manager position.  This position will be based at our Dallas headquarters, report to senior management and involve core HR and Management responsibilities.  This is an opportunity to be on the ground level of a quickly growing organization.  A core component of this position is new team member recruitment.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead company recruiting, including screening, interviewing, and making reference checks for job candidates
  • Run new employee onboarding including workstation setup, scheduling training sessions, and familiarizing new hires with company policies and procedures
  • Develop new ideas to improve overall employee job satisfaction and happiness
  • Benefit program administration, including the communication of all health, vacation, retirement, and other benefits to employees
  • Distribute employee evaluations and organize semi-annual employee performance reviews
  • Manage company schedules and employee vacation requests
  • Maintain human resource records and process paperwork for new employees; maintain compliance with wage acknowledgement, and i-9 requirements
  • Maintain compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment
  • Manage relationships with cleaning, maintenance, and repair crews for all Dallas based facilities
  • Procure equipment and supplies for all Dallas based facilities, including trucks, warehouse equipment, office supplies, and retail showroom equipment
  • Research and procure quotes from new vendors and service providers as necessary
  • Manage the hiring of temporary staff through agencies during peak periods
  • Assist with general store operations as needed
  • Coordinate with IT support for the installation and maintenance of all on site computer systems
  • Maintain company handbook and employee job descriptions
  • Run employee exit interviews and any other departure related issues
  • Ensure the security of the office by managing the security system, scheduling repairs of locks, and managing building access cards
  • Maintain employee time card systems and review bi-weekly hours reports
  • Distribute company mail as needed
  • Review weekly commission, hours, and payroll expenses for accuracy
  • Manage all company expense accounts, related policies, and reimbursements
  • Organize and book company events, both on and off site
  • Manage and book employee travel as needed

Qualifications

  • At least three years of experience working in an HR / Office Management role
  • Experience recruiting, hiring, and training new employees
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Extremely strong organizational skills including the ability to multitask
  • Ability to work in a faced paced, quickly changing environment
  • Strong computer skills, including experience working with Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
  • Working knowledge of state and federal employee laws and requirements (aPHR+ preferred, not required)
  • Ability to learn, self-train, and execute new administrative tasks
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to work effectively with all organizational roles

Other Job Details

  • This position is based at Zuri’s Corporate Headquarters near the Galleria mall in Dallas
  • This is Monday-Friday position with occasional weekend work during special events
  • Full time position, estimated 40 hours per week
